Genetics of Neurodegeneration

Turning code into cures

In the Humphrey Lab, part of Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, we're harnessing advanced computational tools to explore the genetic and molecular underpinnings of neurodegenerative diseases: progressive and often fatal conditions affecting the brain.

Our primary focus is on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), two closely related disorders which share both genetic and pathological features.

Our research delves into the intricate connections between these diseases and paves the way for potential treatments.
